> SOUTHERN INDIANA — NA’s McDuffy wins Ivy Tech Scholar Athlete of the Year award

New Albany High School junior defensive lineman Damian McDuffy has won the Ivy Tech Community College Scholar Athlete of the Year award, which also is sponsored by the Indianapolis Colts. McDuffy beat out eight other finalists from across the state for the honor.

McDuffy is a Bulldog scholar at NAHS, where he has a 4.0 grade-point average. McDuffy also is involved in several non-profit organizations. One of them is the Lupus Foundation, as his sister has the disease.

McDuffy will receive the award during halftime of the Colts’ home game on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium. During the presentation, he will get a scholarship from Ivy Tech.
