Providence football looking for assistant coach

Providence looking for assistant coach

The Providence High School football team is searching for an assistant coach for next season. Interested candidates should email head coach Larry Denison at ldenison@providencehigh.net.

Hanover College coach hosting camp

Hanover College baseball coach Shayne Stock will be holding a youth baseball camp at Mount Tabor Park in New Albany June 10-13.

Session 1 is open to boys ages 6–8 and will run each day from 9 a.m.-noon. The second session is open to boys ages 9-12 and will take place each day from 1-4 p.m.

All areas of the game will be covered. Games will be played daily and each camper will receive a T-shirt.

Cost is $75 per player.

Jeff to host scramble

The Jeffersonville High School wrestling team will host the Jeffersonville Wrestling Golf Scramble on Saturday, May 18 at the Jeffersonville Elks Club golf course. The scramble will have a shotgun start at 1 p.m., with registration beginning at noon.

The format will be a four-person best-ball scramble. Cost is $75 per golfer, which includes golf, a golf cart and dinner.

There will be prizes for the first-place team, longest drive and closest to the pin. All proceeds will benefit the Jeffersonville wrestling program.
