HENRYVILLE — SOUTH CENTRAL

• Shelby Miller (Maryville (Mo.) women’s basketball, Jr.) — weekly stats: 20.7 points per game, 19-39 field goals, 12-22 3-pointers, 12-13 free throws, 11 rebounds, nine assists, seven steals; top performance: game- and career-high 35 points, shooting 10-of-18 from the floor, 9-of-13 from 3-point range and 6-of-6 from the line, game-high six steals, five rebounds and game-high four assists in the Saints’ 89-79 triumph at Southern Indiana last Thursday; notes: Miller has been named Maryville’s Female Athlete of the Week; team records: 15-10 overall, 8-7 GLVC.

• Chris O’Connor (Marian men’s track, Sr.) — top performance: first in the high jump at the Tom Hathaway Distance Classic on Saturday in Indianapolis, 1.93 meters.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Brandy Orth Becker (Centre women’s track, New Albany native, Louisville Assumption women’s track, Fr.) — notes: third in the long jump at the SAA Indoor Track Challenge last Saturday in Birmingham, Ala., 4.89 meters, personal record; third in the 800 relay, 1:49.97, school record; fourth in the 60 dash preliminaries, 8.31; fourth in the 60 dash finals, 8.31, personal record; fourth in the triple jump, 10.12 meters; sixth in the 200 dash, 28.3.
