‘The Grenadier Sports Report’ premieres Monday on WXVW-AM
The premiere edition of “The Grenadier Sports Report” will be at 7 p.m. on Monday on WXVW-1450 AM Radio. The show that is dedicated to Indiana University Southeast athletics will be broadcasted at Tucker’s American Favorites, 2441 State St., New Albany.
The one-hour program will cover everything that is happening in Grenadier sports. Host Matt Denison will interview student-athletes, coaches and administrators throughout the year to get an inside look at IU Southeast athletics.
IU Southeast athletic director Joe Glover as well as Grenadier men’s basketball coach Wiley Brown and IU Southeast volleyball coach Eric Brian will join Denison on Monday. Volleyball student-athletes Jade Troutman and Kristen Newberry also will join the program to preview the volleyball home opener against Asbury on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The program will air each Monday night through May 12.
IU Southeast fans are encouraged to join the IU Southeast coaches and student-athletes for dinner every Monday night at Tucker’s. For IU Southeast students, Tucker’s is a UCard vendor.
Along with being broadcasted on WXVW-AM, the show also will be online at 1450thesportsbuzz.com.
Champions Pointe to host breast cancer awareness outing
Champions Pointe Golf Club, 1820 Champions Club Lane, Henryville, will host its second annual breast cancer awareness golf outing on Monday, Oct. 7, starting at 9 a.m.
Cost is $100 per person or $400 per team. Hole sponsorships are $150. Proceeds will go toward the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure.”

Henryville alumni game on Sept. 21
The Henryville High School baseball team will be holding an alumni baseball game at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the high school field for any former Henryville baseball players.
Depending on the number of players, either one or two games will be played.
Anyone interested in playing should contact Hornets’ baseball coach Jared Hill or former HHS baseball coach Jeff Schroeder. Their contact information is on the Henryville High School Web site — www.wclark.k12.in.us/schools-henryville-jr-sr-high. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 22.
