IU SOUTHEAST BASEBALL: Eight Grenadiers earn KIAC All-Conference awards

NEW ALBANY —  Eight Grenadier baseball student-athletes earned Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference postseason awards, the KIAC announced Wednesday.

Pitcher Evan Bickett, outfielder Marcus Howard and second baseman Frank Pluskota were named first-team All-KIAC.

Josh Beams earned Newcomer of the Year honor and was named to the KIAC second team with pitcher Clint Chestnut, catcher Louis Helmburg, infielder and Salem graduate Alex Potter and third baseman Jarret Young.

Louis Helmburg and Marcus Howard were KIAC Gold Glove award winners.

The Grenadiers finished the season 32-23 and lost to Point Park 3-1 in the KIAC Championship.
