CRAZY CREATURES: New Albany kids take a Silly Safari

NEW ALBANY — A couple of Madagascar hissing cockroaches and a “de-skunkified” skunk were a couple of the animals children got to see in a Silly Safari at the Griffin-Kathy Wilkerson Recreation Center on Thursday.

Coyote Chris Hansen, a presenter with Silly Safaris, showed families reptiles, mammals, birds, amphibians and more at the show.

Children got to see the animals, but also had a chance to touch them. The New Albany Parks Department also served snacks and drinks after the hour-long presentation.
