Grocer ALDI seeks job applicants

Event for job seekers to be held Sunday

JEFFERSONVILLE — National grocer ALDI is inviting job seekers to apply for cashiers, shift managers and manager trainee positions from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The event is being held at the ALDI store at 3131 Ind. 62, Jeffersonville. The company is hiring for its Louisville, Jeffersonville and New Albany stores.

Job requirements include that those applying must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED; full-time candidates must be available to work anytime between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. Retail experience is preferred. Potential employees will be subject to a drug screening and background check and candidates must be able to lift 45 pounds.

Wages for the manager trainees are about $19 per hour and cashiers and shift managers are paid between $10.50 and $15 per hour. Full-time staff averaging more than 20 hours-a-week receive full health insurance, dental coverage and 401K.
