NEW ALBANY

Church hosting play

St. Marks on Spring will present “Almost Maine,” a romantic comedy by John Cariani, April 5 through April 7 and April 12 through April 15 at 8 p.m. nightly at St. Marks United Church of Christ, 222 E. Spring St., New Albany.

General admission is $10. Reservations are required. Call 502-380-6569. Proceeds benefit St. Marks Clothes Closet, Soup Kitchen and Stage on Spring Missions.

 

Church hosting prayer breakfast

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, is hosting its annual Spring Prayer Breakfast for those who’ve lost a loved one from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 in the church’s basement/Wagner Hall. 

The featured speaker is Gayle Schrank, who is pastoral associate at St. Mary Navilleton Church serving in a variety of ministries including retreat work. Her talk is titled “Reflections of Grace.” This event is free. RSVP to Tom Yost at 812-945-2374 by today.

 

GEORGETOWN

PTA holding pancake breakfast

Georgetown Elementary PTA will be hosting a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6,  at the school, 8800 High St. in Georgetown.

Jamie with nationally known Chris Cakes of Indiana will flip fluffy stacks of pancakes to raise funds for student safety projects. Entertainment will also be provided, including a special visit from Sweet Frog and face painting for the kids.
