FORECAST: Unsettled weather takes us into the weekend

LOUISVILLE — The relatively calm, warm weather we’ve enjoyed for much of the week is about to change. Periods of showers and storms will enter the region Friday. If you’re making plans for Mother’s Day weekend we’re keeping a slight storm chance in the forecast both days — it will by no means be a washout. Temperatures will stay mild into mid next week in the 80s. A pattern change to much cooler air is forecast in the wake of the active pattern we’re entering. Mid to late next week expect highs in the 60s with lows in the 40s if all stays on track.
