Brain injury group meets Thursday

The next meeting of the Southern Indiana Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the Education Conference Room at Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, 3104 Blackiston Blvd., New Albany.

All Survivors, family, friends or anyone else that has an interest are invited to come. Refreshments will be served.

 

CLARK COUNTY

Air board meeting Wednesday

The Clark County Board of Aviation Commissioners will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, in the upstairs meeting room of the Honaker Aviation Building, 7001 Airport Dr., Sellersburg. 

The meeting will be preceded by an executive session, which will begin at 5 p.m. that day.

Memorial golf scramble set

The third annual Pam Miller Memorial Golf Scramble Benefiting Kosair Charities will be held Saturday, May 18.

The golf scramble is held in honor of Kosair Kid Pam Miller, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2010. Kosair Charities is the beneficiary for proceeds from the day’s events, including the golf scramble, fun games, raffle, silent auction and lunch. As a child Miller contracted Polio and with the help of Kosair Charities, she walked again. In 2005, she began her long, hard fought battle with breast cancer.

Last year, the Pam Miller Memorial Golf Scramble raised more than $11,000 for Kosair Kids.   

Registration for the scramble will begin at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at Valley View Golf Course, 3748 Lawrence Banet Road in Floyds Knobs. Lunch, an awards program, door prizes, raffle and a silent auction will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information, visit http://kosair.org/event/pam-miller-memorial-golf-scramble.

 

10-minute play festival coming tonight

Floyd Central High School’s Ten Minute Play Festival will take place starting at 7:30 p.m. today, May 14, at Studio One.
