Rep. Young to meet with constituents in Jeffersonville
Rep. Todd Young will meet with constituents on an individual and small-group basis at the 9th District Constituent Service Center, 279 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4.
Young will meet with small groups of up to four at a time for 15 minutes each, and constituents will be able to determine which issues they would like to talk about. The opportunity to sit down with the congressman is open on a first-come, first-serve basis to constituents who call the 9th District Constituent Service Center in Jeffersonville at 812-288-3999.
More information sessions scheduled for aquatic center
Two additional public meetings have been slated in regards to the planned aquatic center and multi-sports facility in New Albany.
The first will be held this evening from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Fairmont Elementary School cafeteria.
From 6 to 7 p.m. on April 10, an information session will be held at the Kathy Wilkerson Center, which was formerly known as the Griffin Street Center.
The city has plans to construct an outdoor aquatic center at the former Camille Wright pool location, and a multi-sports facility at the former Hoosier Panel site.

Holy Trinity rectory will be site of Day of Caring work
The historical Holy Trinity Catholic Church Rectory, 702 East Market St., New Albany, will undergo a massive renovation during a special Volunteer Day for St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 13. The project is an undertaking by Team Top Gun, a group of young professionals participating in the Leadership Louisville Center’s Ignite Louisville program. Volunteers are being sought to help with various projects, including floor restoration, painting, tiling and landscaping. Once completed, St. E’s plans to use the space to expand its many social service programs.
