— Purdue hosting pesticide program

Purdue Extension will once again host a fall program for private pesticide applicators needing recertification credits. Dr. Fred Whitford will speak on “The Impact of Water Quality on Pesticide Performance” and “Keeping the Trailer Connected to the Truck”.  

The program will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, in the Food Stand Building at the Clark County 4-H Fairgrounds, 9608 Ind. 62, Charlestown. This will be a brown bag lunch session, so participants are encouraged to bring their own meals. Extension will provide drinks and dessert. There is no cost to attend the session, but those wishing to receive PARP credit need to bring $10 and their licenses. Register by calling the Extension office at 812-256-4591.

Holiday ornament for sale

The commemorative Holy Family Catholic Church and School Christmas Ornament is on sale.

As Holy Family begins to celebrate 60 years as a parish and school next year, it is offering a beautiful shatterproof Christmas tree ornament as a stocking-stuffer for children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, friends, and HF school alumni that have moved away. Providence to present children’s show

Our Lady of Providence Jr.-Sr. High School will present its fall children’s show “Twelve Dancing Princesses” in the Robinson Auditorium at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 8, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.

Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $10 each for adults and $5 each for children grades kindergarten through 12. Seating is general admission.

“Twelve Dancing Princesses” is a modern adaptation of the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tale of the same name. For more information contact Kerry Jones at 812-945-2538, ext. 314.

Eat spaghetti on Sunday

St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 11499 Farmers Lane, Greenville, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner and holiday bazaar from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the church..

The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 4 to 11
