U.S. 150 work resumes Wednesday

FLOYD COUNTY — Construction activities resume Wednesday, April 16, along U.S. 150 through Greenville as Dave O’Mara crews mill approaches, lay the surface lift of asphalt, place pavement markings and install traffic detection loops for new signals at the Cross Street/Georgetown-Greenville Road intersection.

Motorists will be directed by flaggers around various worksites over the next two weeks.

The Indiana Department of Transportation is finishing its construction of a $728,670 intersection improvement project which began a year ago.

The project includes 0.21 miles of pavement work between West Second and East Second Streets, widening the U.S. 150 roadway to accommodate left turn lanes, improving turning radii at corners and installation of the new traffic signal at Cross Street, according to a press release.

The motoring public can monitor road closures, highway conditions and traffic alerts at: www.Facebook.com/INDOTSoutheast or Twitter @INDOTSoutheast, or verify travel plans at TrafficWise: http://www.trafficwise.in.gov
