Clark County

Eastern Heights Baptist ChurchEastern Heights Baptist Church, 4202 Helen Road, Jeffersonville, will embark on Investigation Destination Vacation Bible School (VBS). Four year olds through 5th graders are invited to the free, weeklong event, 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly, Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21. Cook Memorial United Methodist

Cook Memorial United Methodist Church will sponsor Vacation Bible School for three days, Friday, June 21, 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 6 to 8 p.m., and Sunday, June 23, at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow.

The theme for VBS is “Hay Day, Growing in Friendship with Jesus.” For more information call 812-283-6408.

 

Walnut Ridge Baptist

Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, 2118 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, will sponsor Vacation Bible School, 6:30 to 9 p.m. nightly, June 23 through June 27, at the church.

Children ages three to fifth grade are invited to attend.

 

First Southern Baptist Church

First Southern Baptist Church, 215 Ettels Lane, Clarksville, will sponsor Vacation Bible School, 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. nightly, June 23-28, at the church.

Classes available for all ages birth* — adult. Vacation Bible School – Colossal Coaster World

*Children two years old and under must be accompanied by a parent

or guardian attending the Adult VBS class.

 

Calvary Christian Church

A short time from now, in a galaxy very very near, you can become a J-di at Calvary Christian Church, 605 S. Norman Drive, Sellersburg. This mission is for kids age four to seventh grade.

Vacation Bible School will be 6:30 to 9 p.m. nightly, June 23-28, at the church. Don't miss this no-cost week of games, crafts, and deep lessons from God's Word.

Wesley United Methodist Church

Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 Thomas V. Bryant Dr., Jeffersonville,

will sponsor Vacation Bible School, 5:30 to 8 p.m. nightly, June 24 - 28 for ages three ( must be potty trained) through adults. Class sizes are limited, so registration is requiredRegister by calling the church office, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 812-283-3727.

A Bible and Arts Program, the VBS theme is "Hip-Hop-Hope Jesus Makes Me Glad."

Van transportation pick-up times will be between 4:45 and 5:20 p.m. at Greenwood, National, Fulton Terrace and Gardenside Community Buildings and Colonial Park Drive at Long Street.

Culbertson Baptist Church

Culbertson Baptist Church, 4007 Grant Line Road, New Albany, is making big plans for Bible School, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly, June 17 through 21 in the Family Life Center of the church. All children of the community, pre-K through grade 5, are invited to attend.

The theme will be “Welcome to Athens: Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth.” Boys and girls will be divided into tribes, each with an adult tribal leader, and will have Bible study and storytime in their groups. Each night, they will also visit the marketplace for crafts, games and food.

 

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church

Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church includes a variety of free activities for children and teens and even their parents, all focusing on Christian fellowship, learning, and fun.

“Gotta Move!” is the theme of this year’s week for all children in the community ages 4 through 8th grade as of this coming school year. VBS will meet at the church, 2100 U.S. 150 in Floyds Knobs, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, June 17-20. A closing program will be at 6:30 p.m. that Friday led by the VBS participants and followed by an ice cream social.

Each day will include Bible lessons, crafts, recreation, snacks, and music. New this year are a program for middle school students in grades 6, 7, and 8, who will take a field trip to Mount St. Francis that Wednesday; and a parenting class each night for parents of children who attend. It will be led by Pastor Tony Alstott.
