Retiring librarian being honored with open house
New Albany-Floyd County Public Library is sponsoring an open house for retiring librarian Betty Menges, 2 to 4 p.m., Jan. 31, in the Strassweg Auditorium of the library.
She has worked for 40 years in the Indian Room helping with genealogical research and numerous local history projects.
Coaster crafts tonight at library
The Jeffersonville Township Public Library is planning a Create a Coaster craft, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Jan. 28, at the library.
Each participant will make a total of two coasters and there is no charge for this class.
Pre-registration is required and the class size will be limited to 25.

Clark 4-H announces Robotics Club
Clark County 4-H is happy to announce the new addition of the Clark County 4-H Robotics Club. This new club is designed to introduce students to the concepts of design and programming utilizing LEGO Mindstorms robotics kits as well as develop leadership, problem solving, and teamwork skills. National 4-H curriculum guides will provide structure for the “hands on” activities youth will experience.
This program is open to any youth throughout Clark Country but will be expected to enroll in the County 4-H Program to become a member and the program fee is $25. The payment covers insurance and programming materials.
The Clark County 4-H Robotics Club will meet the first and third Mondays starting in February, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Clark County 4-H Center, 9604 Ind. 62, Charlestown, in the community building. Space is limited, so if interested, please call the Purdue Extension Clark County Office at 812-256-4591 to register. This new club’s first organizational meeting is Feb. 4, 6 to 8 p.m.
