Healing Hearts Banquet set
The third-annual Healing Hearts Banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 1 at First Assembly of God Church, 2878 Charlestown Road, New Albany.
S.O.A.R., Survivors of Abuse Restored, a nonprofit based in New Albany, has been helping women recover for more than 13 years.
Food is just the start of this white-tablecloth event. Artists in several media will be creating during the event, with the completed art auctioned during the evening, along with numerous gift baskets. This event will also be a night of educating the community about childhood sexual abuse with a speaker who shares her story of healing and hope.
Tickets are $40 per person and must be purchased in advance.

Floyd Central plans reunion
A reunion has been set for members of Floyd Central High School’s 1980-1989 graduating classes. The 2013 FCHS All 80s event will be from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Joe Huber Family Farm and Restaurant. A buffet-style dinner will be served and a cash bar will be available, big-screen TVs will be set up to watch the IU vs. Iowa game and entertainment will be provided by Kevin Merritt of New Sounds Inc.
The cost for the event is $22 to be paid to Huber’s at the door the day of the event.

Young, Rhoades to update constituents
State Sen. Richard D. Young, of Milltown, and State Rep. Rhonda Rhoades, of Corydon, will discuss legislative issues with the public at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2.
The event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Harrison County and the Harrison County Farm Bureau, will be held in the Superior Courtroom of the Harrison County Justice Center, 1445 Gardner Lane, Corydon. The event should end around 9 a.m.
