Learn more about graduate programs

The Indiana University Southeast School of Business is hosting an information session for students interested in graduate business programs. The session will be 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the IU Southeast Graduate Center at Water Tower Square in Jeffersonville.

The graduate business programs at IU Southeast are among the best in the nation. The Princeton Review recently named IU Southeast as one of its Top 295 Business Schools for the ninth year in a row, recognizing the school for its “cutting-edge classes” and “excellent value.”

At the information session, students interested in earning a Master’s of Business Administration or a Master’s of Strategic Finance will be able to meet faculty, hear from students and alumni, get application materials and learn about admissions.

CLARK COUNTY

The series Know Your County Government hosted by County Councilwoman Kelly Khuri continues from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, 211 E. Court Ave., Jeffersonville.

The fifth in the series will be the final installment for 2013, and the presenter will be Clark County Sheriff Danny Rodden.

Learn about rain gardens

The Clark/Floyd County Green Infrastructure Alliance is sponsoring a rain garden workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.. 23, at Cricket’s Cafe, Sellersburg. Lunch will be catered by Cricket’s and is included in the $30 cost of the workshop. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.

The workshop will give participants an in-depth insight into the workings of rain gardens, from designing, to plant selection, to installation, and finally to maintenance.

CHARLESTOWN

Meet a llama at the library

The Charlestown Library, 51 Clark Road, Charlestown, will host “Llamas at the Library” program from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday Oct. 26.

There will be a reading of “Llama, Llama, Red Pajama” and craft time. A llama and an alpaca will make an appearance around 11:30 a.m..

This family friendly program is free and open to all. Registration is suggested due to space. Call 812-256-3337.
