He was one of the first program directors and on-air personalities at Sirius Satellite Radio developing all of Sirius Country Music channels. He is currently the news announcer on the “Howard Stern Show” and executive producer of Chinamerica Radio, an Internet station.

Warren will return to his hometown this weekend to address his 1963 classmates at their 50-year reunion.

He will be making other speaking engagements as he celebrates his 50 years in the business.

Warren is author of “RADIO: The Book,” the best-selling book on radio programming.

Warren said he remembers working at WKLO and how he got the job.

“In those days there were two hot top 40 stations in Louisville, WKLO and WAKY. I was a WKLO guy and dreamed of working there while attending junior and senior high school,” he said in a release. “I beat their door down for several weeks before they found a summer job for me.”

Warren has worked all over the country. He was an on-air personality at seven stations in New York and was also program director at stations in San Antonio, Albany and Dayton.
