I-64 eastbound shut down following wreck, reopens

NEW ALBANY — Interstate 64 eastbound was closed at mile marker 121 Wednesday afternoon after a pickup truck full of scrap metal and other items wrecked and rolled over around 2:15 p.m.

Due to debris being scattered, the eastbound lanes were closed for about an hour until the items were cleaned up.

Capt. Jeff Topping with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department said the driver was taken to Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services with minor injuries.
