Sixth Street, Broadway Street in Jeffersonville set to close

JEFFERSONVILLE — Another permanent road closure is on the horizon for Jeffersonville.

As part of the regular update to lane closures and restrictions related to the downtown crossing of the Ohio River Bridges Project, project planners announced that they are preparing to close Sixth Street in Jeffersonville.

As part of the widening of Interstate 65 northbound, Walsh Construction crews are scheduled to close the Sixth Street ramp in Jeffersonville, according to a news release. The Sixth Street ramp and Broadway Street from Court Avenue to Sixth Street are scheduled to close permanently after 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30.

The detour route for local motorists accessing I-65 north will be Court Avenue to Spring Street to the 10th Street ramp.
