Nuts for philanthropy
The women of the Jeffersonville chapter of Tri Kappa, an only-in-Indiana philanthropic organization, are selling nuts and related treats to raise proceeds that will be plowed back into worthwhile causes in Clark County over the next few months.
The 40 women of this active chapter have specialized in selling nuts, pecans in particular, for many years. Most items are priced under $10 per 1-pound bag. To learn about the pecans, black walnuts, cashews, malt balls and other items for sale, contact committee co-chairs Joris Kramer at 812-283-9359 or MaryJo Steed at 812-288-8692. The deadline to place orders is Thursday, Oct. 10; delivery is expected in mid-November.
