TARC adding River Ridge service next week

Two Saturday trips being added to Accent Marketing

JEFFERSONVILLE — Starting Monday, Jan. 21, Transit Authority of River City will be providing service to River Ridge Commerce Center and Amazon.com distribution center on Ind. 62.

Route #71-Jeffersonville-Louisville-New Albany will be extended to provide three morning and four afternoon weekday trips serving River Ridge Commerce Center including the Amazon.com Inc. site on Ind. 62 in Jeffersonville. All River Ridge/Amazon trips will stop at a park-and-ride at Meijer at Allison Lane and Ind. 62 with transfer connections to Route #82.

Stops will be added to Patrol Road, Centennial Boulevard and Middle Road on the Route #71 extension to River Ridge. Some bus arrival and departure times will change by five to ten minutes on weekdays. The last westbound trip from the Meijer will depart seven minutes later to accommodate Meijer employees whose shifts end at 10 p.m.

Route #82-New Albany-Clarksville-Jeffersonville will add two Saturday trips — one morning and one afternoon — to the Accent Marketing complex in the Jeffersonville Towne Center off Veterans Parkway. Weekday arrival and departure times between Greentree Boulevard in Clarksville and the Jeffersonville Meijer will change slightly to better address shift changes at Accent Marketing. Some weekday trip times will change by five to 15 minutes to provide for transfer connections with Route #71 trips to River Ridge.

For more information, including maps and schedules, visit ridetarc.org or call customer service, 502-585-1234; TTY: 502-213-3240.

Also, TARC will be running regular service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 21.
