Commissioners meeting date changed

The Clark County Commissioners meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 3, has been rescheduled.

The meeting will now be held Monday, July 7, at 5 p.m. in the commissioners’ conference room on the fourth floor of the Clark County Government Building, 501 E. Court Ave., Jeffersonville.

NEW ALBANY

WNAS to host kids summer camp

The WNAS Radio Camp is designed to teach students in grades three through eight how to be a real radio star.

The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 9-13 or June 16-20. The cost is $75, which includes a T-shirt.

The camp ends on a Friday with the taping of a two-hour broadcast with students displaying all of their acquired talents as radio broadcasters. The show will feature interviews, campers’ music selections, advertisements, news, weather and more. All of it can be heard at 88.1 FM or on cable channel 25 through Time Warner and around the world at wnas.org.

Camp Quality children will be in attendance the first week of the camp.

SOUTHERN INDIANA

Herb society to meet

The Kentuckiana Herb Society will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Central Christian Church, 1315 Spring St., New Albany.

Topics will include fennel and herbal cleaning. Visitors are welcome. For more information call Julia at 812-246-1214.

Arts Bridge holding program

Arts Bridge Inc. of Southern Indiana presents Art Matters, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 12, at The Stained Glass Gallery LLC, 416 E. Spring St., New Albany.

The event, which is a discussion of matters interesting to the art community of Southern Indiana, will feature “Glorious Glass,” a presentation by Donna Baldacci, a stained glass artist and owner of The Stained Glass Gallery.

The Stained Glass Gallery has restored hundreds of historically significant art glass panels for religious spaces, public spaces and private residences, according to an Arts Bridge press release.
