Henryville fell to 2-8 with a 78-59 loss to Trinity Lutheran on Saturday.

The Hornets fell behind right from the start and had a hard time getting anything going. The 5-4 Cougars maintained momentum throughout the contest, leading 40-22 at the break.

Braxton Robertson was Henryville’s top scorer with 15 points.

Trinity Lutheran’s Craig Stuckwisch led everyone with 24 points.

RUEDINGER’S 19 HELPS BORDEN ESCAPE PAOLI


Nathalie Ruedinger’s 19 points were big for the Braves as they came from behind to top a streaking Paoli, 39-37.

Borden found itself down by nine in the third to an 8-5 Ram team that had won four of its last five games. The Braves charged back to tie the game at the end of the quarter and was able to gain the lead in the fourth.

“We gave a great effort,” Borden coach Terry Rademacher said. “We got down but was able to battle back. We played a good game and beat a good team.”

HOLLIS LEADS HENRYVILLE OVER ORLEANS 50-26

Behind Emily Hollis’ 20-point performance, Henryville dominated Orleans 50-26 on Saturday.

“We played with more energy on both ends of the court,” Hornet coach Josh Conrad said. “Defensively, we did a better job recovering. Offensively, we did a good job moving the basketball and being ready to score.”

The Hornets led 20-8 after one quarter and never looked back.

Along with Hollis’ 20, the Hornets received 12 points from Haley Huddleston and nine from Emma Hendricks.
