FLOYDS KNOBS — SENATORS PICK UP FIRST WIN OVER CAI, 51-38

West Washington outscored Christian Academy 24-5 at the free-throw line and earned its first victory, 51-38 over the visiting Warriors on Tuesday.

The Senators (1-1), who went 24-of-41 from the charity stripe, jumped out to a 15-6 lead after one quarter and led the entire way. CAI outscored West Wash 16-13 in the second quarter to get within 28-22 at the half.

Allison Burch led the way for the Warriors with 14 points, four steals, two assists and two 3-pointers. Emily Huffaker added 12 points.

Shana Keller of West Washington tied Burch with game-high scoring honors.
