New Wash selling regional tickets



Henryville Spring Clinic

The Henryville Spring Volleyball Clinic will take place on four consecutive Wednesdays, starting Feb. 20 at Henryville High School’s Furnish Gymnasium.

The clinic will meet each day from 6-7:30 p.m. The clinic is open to girls from grades 5-8 from any school. Cost is $30 per player, which includes a T-shirt.


Jeff man to participate in Kids & Kubs celebration

Jeffersonville native Jim Barnett will participate in the 83rd anniversary celebration of the Three-Quarter Century Softball Club Kids & Kubs organization on Saturday, Feb. 23 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Barnett has played for the Kids & Kubs since 2009. He is United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years.


Bats’ Southern Indiana Night on June 7

The Louisville Bats will host Southern Indiana Night on Friday, June 7 at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats will face the Norfolk Tides, with the first pitch taking place at 7:05 p.m.

Festivities will include post-game fireworks and special in-game giveaways.

Advance tickets are $6 each. Seats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

• An article titled, “Clarksville rolls past Salem, 57-28” on page B2 of the News and Tribune, Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, edition contained incorrect information. The article omitted two Clarksville boys’ basketball senior players who will be honored at the Generals’ Senior Night home game tonight against North Harrison. The two omitted players are Bailey McEwen and Mason Dixon.
