Salem to host Redneck Enduro 100 on Nov. 3
Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery track management recently announced a couple of schedule changes for the remainder of the 2013 racing season.
A roval event for the Portland Recycling Front Wheel Drive Stocks has been added to the 2013 schedule and will take place on Sunday, Nov. 3.
The Redneck Enduro 100 follows a highly popular road racing type event which took place earlier this season. The Salem Roval Grand Prix, won by Derrick Bradshaw of Shephedsville, Ky., took place on a circuit utilizing both the infield short-track and a portion of the half-mile high banks.
Twenty-eight cars started the race last June with 19 cars still running at the end of the one-hour event.
It also was announced that the short-track races for the Pure Stocks and Front Wheel Drive Stocks, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, have been removed from the 2013 schedule. The races were scheduled as part of the Halloween 200 festivities. Halloween 200 practice will still take place on Oct. 26 as originally planned.
The next racing activity at Salem Speedway Fueled by the Hoosier Lottery is set for Saturday, Sept. 14 when the ARCA Racing Series returns to the high banks for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 presented by Federated Auto Parts.
