H.S. ROUNDUP: Borden whips Rebels, clinches SAC tennis title again

Highlanders go to 20-0 after 11-3 win over Seymour



• Highlanders win three-way meet:
Jack Sparrow led a balanced Floyd Central attack as the Highanders defeated Heritage Hills and Corydon Central in a three-way meet at Christmas Lake in Santa Claus.

Sparrow’s 34 was two-below par and won medalist honors. Daniel Shepherd shot a 35, Alex Beyer a 36 and Connor Welcher a 37 for the Highlanders.

NEXT: Floyd Central at Bloomington North and Jasper, Saturday.

• Wagner, Gray lead Borden: Borden finished second in a three-way meet with Paoli and Lanesville at Old Capital in Corydon.

Tony Wagoner III and Reilly Gray each shot a 44 for the Braves, who had a 179 as a team. T.J. Fraley finished the course in 45 strokes and Kamden Hurst in 46.

Logan Andis took medalist honors for Paoli, which won the meet, with a 41.

NEXT: Borden hosts Eastern, next Thursday.
