• Shelby Miller (Maryville women’s basketball, So.) — recent stats: nine points per game, 10-of-30 field goals, 7-of-21 3-pointers, seven rebounds, seven assists, five steals; top performance: team-high 16 points, shooting 6-of-15 from the field and 4-of-12 from 3-point range, three rebounds and three assists in the Saints’ 74-68 home loss to Missouri Western on Saturday, Nov. 17; team record: 1-3.

• Alexis Bauer (Samford volleyball, Floyds Knobs native, Louisville Sacred Heart graduate, Sr.) — recent stats: 29 digs, four assists; top performance: team-high 15 digs and two assists in the Bulldogs’ 3-1 loss to the College of Charleston (S.C.) in the Southern Conference Tournament semifinals on Sunday, Nov. 18 in Davidson, N.C.; notes: Bauer had match-high 14 digs in Samford’s 3-0 first-round victory over Davidson in the Southern Conference Tournament. She broke the school’s single-season digs record in that match. Bauer ended her career as the Bulldogs’ all-time digs leader; season-ending stats: team-high 591 digs, 31 aces; team records: 23-9 overall, 14-2 Southern Conference.

• Nate Combs (Army football, New Albany native, Louisville St. Xavier graduate, Sr.) — notes: eight tackles in the Black Knights’ 63-32 home loss to Temple on Saturday, Nov. 17; team record: 2-9.

• Rolandan “Deuce” Finch (Boston College football, New Albany native, Louisville St. Xavier graduate, Jr.) — recent stats: 45 carries for 282 rushing yards, nine receptions for 55 receiving yards, one rushing touchdown; top performance: 19 carries for a game-high 144 rushing yards and a 4-yard touchdown run in the Eagles’ 27-10 loss last Saturday at North Carolina State; notes: 26 carries for a game-high 138 rushing yards and a game-high five receptions for a team-high 53 receiving yards in Boston College’s 30-23 home loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday, Nov. 17; season-ending stats: 77 carries for 436 rushing yards and one touchdown; 17 receptions for 108 receiving yards; team records: 2-10 overall, 1-7 Atlantic Coast Conference.
