BOSSE EDGES NEW ALBANY

New Albany suffered a tough 43-40 road loss to the hands of Evansville Bosse on Saturday.

A poor second half in which bosse outscored the Bulldogs 28-16, saw Bosse come from nine points down and pull ahead.

Aaliyah Bell was the only Bulldog in double figured with 10.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

NEW WASHINGTON UPSETS AUSTIN, 61-56


Logan Miles’ 25 points and seven 3-pointers were just what New Washington needed to take down Austin 61-56 on Saturday.

The Mustangs used a strong second half to overcome a five-point halftime deficit.

Only four New Wash players scored but all four were in double figures. Along with Miles’ 25, James Clemons scored 14, Zach Moore had 12 and Devin Herron finished with 10.

Chris Mayfield led the 5-8 Eagles with 18 points.

CLARKSVILLE MAULS SOUTHWESTERN

Clarksville ran all over host Southwestern to a tune of 103-37 on Saturday.

From the word go, Clarksville jumped on the winless Rebels and never let off the gas, outscoring them by at least 10 points every quarter.

Andrew Jones finished with a game-high 34 points. Following his 42-point performance in Friday’s overtime win over Corydon Central, Calvin McEwen scored 22. Nick Jones added 12 for the Generals.
