CAI BLOWS BY EASTERN, 85-69

With three players scoring in the 20s, Christian Academy was able to breeze past Eastern 85-69 on Saturday.

The Warriors got an early lead and closed things out by outscoring the Musketeers 27-19 final frame.

Aaron Eldridge and Nic Reed led the way for the Warriors with 22 points apiece. Eldridge had it working from down town, putting in all five of Christian Academy’s 3-pointers. Shelby Rose chipped in with 20.

Jack Hayes and Grant Newcomb scored 17 apiece for Eastern, which knocked down nine 3s as a team.

MUSKETEERS FALL TO CORYDON


Class 3A No. 5 improved to 12-2 overall and 5-1 in the Mid-Southern Conference with an 80-35 victory over Eastern on Friday.

Bronson Kessinger and Brayden Lander scored 18 points apiece to pace the victorious Panthers. Jessie Murphy had a team-high 10 points for the Musketeers, who fell to 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the MSC with the defeat.
