Tyler Simms, Providence

    Simms went 4 for 4, hit a pair of home runs and drove in a school-record eight runs as Providence defeated Henryville 19-5 on Thursday.

WEEK’S TOP PERFORMANCES

(April 12-18)

• Trent Astle, Jeffersonville: Astle threw a complete-game no-hitter as Jeffersonville defeated North Bullitt (Ky.) 5-0 on Saturday. Astle struck out seven and walked just one. In the second half of a doubleheader, Drew Ellis tossed the Devils’ second no-hitter of the day in a 23-0 win over Thomas Nelson (Ky.).

• Trey Fulton, Floyd Central: Fulton hit three home runs and a double as the Highlanders defeated Jennings County and Scottsburg by a combined 35-6 on Saturday.

• Cody Reister, Henryville: In a pair of doubleheader wins over Clarksville on Saturday, Reister held the Generals to one run in the opener and went 3 for 4 with a two home runs, including a grand slam, and seven RBIs.

• Cody Razer, Silver Creek: Razer had two home runs, including a grand slam, as Sliver Creek edged MSC rival Eastern 11-9 on Monday.

• Tyler Willinger, Charlestown: Willnger went 4 for 5 with a double and a triple as Charlestown defeated Borden 5-4 on Saturday.
