Reader: Please pick Bayh for VP
Please, oh please, Barack Obama, please pick Evan Bayh as your Vice Presidential running mate.
If Barack Obama is elected President, Indiana gets rid of this phony, fake, supposedly middle of the road, truly far left liberal Senator.
If Barack Obama is not elected, the vast majority of Indiana voters who have never investigated Bayh's voting record, will know his true beliefs and he will be defeated by a Conservative Senatorial candidate in 2010.
Either way, it works out well for Indiana voters.
Please, oh please, Barack Obama, please pick Evan Bayh as your Vice Presidential running mate.

Thanks Little Leaguers and best of luck
I want to congratulate the Jeff/GRC Little League Baseball players, coaches and their families on their epic regional final game victory over a quality Mount Vernon, Ohio, team.
Every aspect of this success story is rooted way in the past. Dedication, hard work, sacrifice by all concerned is now truly evident. I remember Coach Derek Ellis and Jamie Dooley talking about this dream two summers ago in a serious manner.
This group of kids have now placed themselves among the greatest sports teams Jeffersonville has ever produced. The only other teams in their elite category are the Jeff/GRC group back in 1965 that went to the LLWS and 1993 Jeffersonville High School Basketball State Champions. Above all of this, these players and coaches have demonstrated sportsmanship of the highest order, on one of the highest stages — an unusual sight these days when youth sports tends to show the worst in the person’s character. All of the team members have served as great ambassadors for our area. The coaches have both developed a successful team and are producing outstanding young men.
These guys not only triumphed over the best Indiana had to offer, but five other states, as well. What an accomplishment!
There should be signs placed next to the city “Welcoming Signs” to record this great achievement. Of course, we would be happy to place signs reading, “2008 Little League World Champions.”
Best of the luck at the Little League World Series and thank you for the enjoyment my friends and I have had these past couple of weeks.
— Jay Potter, Jeffersonville
