An open letter to Terry Cummins

Your opinion column of Oct. 12 about Sarah Palin is so full of nonsense you should be ashamed to write such garbage. Do some real research instead of just punching out words.

But wait, there was a true statement in your column … “Obama pals around with terrorists.” Which of his stories are we to believe? When first asked about his ties with "the terrorist" his first comment was "just someone in the neighborhood.” Every time another connection is exposed he has more to add.

You mention Dick Chaney? It’s Cheney! Weren’t you a former school principal and educator? “Cheney in hiding because he causes trouble whenever he opens his mouth?" There wouldn’t be enough ink to print all the miscues (“can I call you Joe”?) Biden puts out every day. (“Stand up Chuck”). You make light of Palin because she’s from Alaska and can’t possibly know what’s going on in the lower 48? I believe “elitist” is a term to describe that comment.

Man, you take on everybody. In your words:

• Sarah is such a hot topic undoubtedly she’s generating some of the heat.

• Alaska is usually associated with igloos, whale blubber and pipelines interfering with caribou . . .

• In her Guns and God campaign for governor, . . .

• pipeline connection to God . . .

• Move a large Alaskan family inside the Beltway ...

• What’s her North Slope oil-rigger, commercial-fisherman, super stud husband, Todd, going to do everyday?

This one really tells us who you are in you political and personal views;

• Dressed in a conservative but form-fitting dress as lose strings of her hair slide provocatively down over her sexy, oblong eye glasses, she smiles broadly and winks one eye and then the other.

Same old nonsense from a narrow minded individual. Na na na na na! Go suck your thumb.

— James "Pete" Gibson, Jeffersonville
