Cemetery association gives thanks

The Utica Hillcrest Cemetery Association would like to thank all who participated in the John Deere Lawn Tractor giveaway last weekend at the Utica Homecoming Festival.

For a minimum donation, you became eligible to win the lawn tractor, sponsored by Ray’s Lawn and Garden. The lucky winner was Chad Thompson of Jeffersonville.

A special thanks to sponsors of the lawn tractor: Clark County Conservation and Casting Club Ladies Auxiliary; Sampan; Utica United Methodist Church; Bennetts Towing and Recovery; Griders Automotive; Scott/Legacy Funeral Home; E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home; Marine Builders; Charlestown Monument; First Savings Bank; MVBS Barge Service; and Joy Monument Company.

Thanks again for all who supported the cemetery association. The proceeds are used for grass cutting and the upkeep of the cemetery.

The Utica Homecoming Festival is held each year the first weekend of September. For those who may have missed the celebration this year, mark your calendar now for the first weekend in September next year.
