NEWS AND TRIBUNE LETTERS — Feb. 18-19

Remembering a family member, businessman

Clark County and Ross Bros., Inc. lost another solid citizen and top auto technician, Lanny Dale Ross Sr. He died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at his home.

Since his birth, June 14, 1947, Lanny lived and raised his family in Clark County. He was a good Christian man who loved his family and grandchildren with all his heart. You could count on Lanny for a smile and his help if needed.

Lanny was a great leader and one of the three original Ross brothers at Ross Bros. Automatic Transmission Service Inc., where he worked 42 years. He was dedicated, dependable and a mentor to those who worked with him.

Lanny had been an inspiration to all of us as he met with courage each challenge in his long illness. He will be missed by his family and by all who knew him.

Family member who worked with Lanny at Ross Bros. Automatic Transmission Service are: Bryan Ross, Brandon Ross, Carolyn Ross, Charles Ross (deceased), Cherie Ross, Mark Ross, Ralph Ross Jr. and Ralph Ross Sr.

Our prayers go out to his wife, Janice, and their children and grandchildren, and to our other siblings.

— Ralph W. Ross Sr. and Carolyn Ross, Jeffersonville
