NEWS AND TRIBUNE LETTERS — For July 9

Reader says there’s a message in the Bible

The Holy Bible is God’s word, period, Amen.

What is written down in the Bible, none of it is fiction. A person should read the Bible every day of your life. Doing this is showing respect to God.

Reading the Holy Bible on a daily basis will do your body good. As in mind, body and soul and in spirit, for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

If you haven’t read the Holy Bible before, try it for a while, and preserve in your reading, Amen.

Praise be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.

— Stephen Espy, Jeffersonville

Resident clarifies hunting device’s name

The article by Jerod Clapp on George Rogers Clark Days describes a Native American hunting device as a “ati-ati”. The hunting device is actually an Atlatl. Jerod must have misunderstood Mr. Eger’s description of the device as ati-ati does not describe any type of hunting device.

Editor’s Note: Due to an editing error, the incorrect term appeared in the story.

— Kirtley Cooke, Clarksville
