Police and school officials say a Greater Clark County Schools facilities supervisor admitted to smoking marijuana while driving a corporation car while working this week.

Chuck Graves, who has worked for the corporation since 1995, was pulled over Wednesday morning for running a stop sign on Monroe Street, in Charlestown, according to Sgt. Chuck Ledbetter with the Charlestown Police Department.

Ledbetter said though Graves admitted to smoking while driving, he said there was no probable cause to test for intoxication.

He said police did charge Graves with possession of marijuana. He was arrested and taken to jail, where he was released on his own recognizance.

As for his job with Greater Clark, Erin Bojorquez, information services specialist for the corporation, said Graves has been suspended without pay, pending the outcome of the investigation.

She added that there has been no disciplinary issues with Graves before.
