Carnegie Center Family Fun Workshop getting festive
The Carnegie Center will host a Family Fun Workshop, for suggested ages of 2-12, from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 14 at the Center, making Thankful Trees to recognize things for which we are grateful, and an “extra project” of Pinecone Bird Feeders.
Each participant needs to bring a tree branch one to two-feet in height. Since participants will be tying fun foam and fabric onto the branch, the more “arms” it has, the better. A Thankful Tree will make a perfect centerpiece for Thanksgiving when placed in a vase or simply laid on the table. Also, since the center has so much bird seed left over from the September workshop, participants can also make a Pinecone Bird Feeder as an “extra project.”
The workshop is free and open to the first 60 participants. Registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Young artists must be accompanied by an adult and everyone should come prepared to get creative and messy!
Call the CCAH at 812-944-7336 to register or for more information.
