The program, which was developed and launched by Young’s staff last year, introduces college and graduate students to their region and develops their leadership skills so they can effectively serve their community. Eleven students participated in the program last year.
Applicants should be residents of, or attending college or graduate school in, the 9th District. CLP class size is limited, so the application process is competitive. Priority consideration will be given to those who apply by May 1. Applicants must attend at least four out of five sessions to successfully complete the program.

Town to hold special meeting
The Sellersburg Town Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in Sellersburg Town Hall, 316 E. Utica St.
The option of taking over Riverside Water Co. will be discussed.
