Parks Authority meeting changes
The Jeffersonville Parks Authority has rescheduled March 25 meeting. The meeting will instead be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 18 in the city council chambers, located on the first floor of City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court.
Council holding workshop
The Jeffersonville City Council will hold a joint workshop with the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the mayor’s conference room, located on the third floor of City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Depot.
River Ridge announces meetings
The River Ridge Development Authority will hold an executive session at 3:15 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the offices of the River Ridge Development Authority Building 2501, Suite 650 in Jeffersonville.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss interviews and/or negotiations with industrial or commercial prospects and to discuss strategy in relation to the initiation of either pending or threatened litigation. The authority will hold a regular meeting at 4 p.m. following the executive session.
Council announces work session
The Clarksville Town Council will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 18 in the executive conference room of Town Hall, 2000 Broadway.
T.O.P.S. rally coming Saturday
T.O.P.S. Spring Rally is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at One Vision Credit Union, 206 W. Lewis and Clark Blvd., Clarksville.
Sponsored by the Clarksville T.O.P.S. Chapter 123, top weight losers for the last year will be honored.

Are you a burger champion?
The Kentucky Derby Festival and the Kentucky Beef Council are looking for the next “Derby Burger” champion.
Hamburger recipes will be accepted for submission in the second-annual Derby Burger Challenge, sponsored by the Kentucky Beef Council. Recipes can be submitted online at www.kdf.org/beef through April 2.
“Derby Burger Challenge” finalists will be announced April 4 and the winner will be selected April 8. The winning burger recipe will be featured as the Local Legendary Burger at Hard Rock Café Louisville in April and May, recognized in Louisville-area and Lexington-area Kroger stores and samples will be featured at the Kentucky Derby Festival’s new BeerFest. The winner will also receive VIP tickets to Thunder Over Louisville and a concert at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville, as well as a $100 gift certificate to Kroger and a grilling package from Kentucky Beef Council.
