DePauw hosting tailgate dinner
DePauw Methodist Church, 925 Vincennes St., across from New Albany High School, will host a tailgate dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, prior to New Albany’s home basketball game.
The menu will include Italian sausage, pasta, salad, green beans, dessert and a drink. The price is $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12 years old. Children 5 and younger eat free. Call 812-945-6537 for more information.
Floyd County AARP to meet
The Floyd County AARP Chapter will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at St. John’s Church, at the corner of 13th and Elm streets, New Albany.

Clark Memorial’s Bariatric Program is geared to help people lose the weight and gain healthier lifestyles in 2013. The bariatric weight loss program includes: A minimally invasive gastric banding procedure; free follow-up and support from the bariatric team; free exercise evaluation; free gym membership for one month; free clothing exchange program; monthly support group; weekly weigh-in and consultation with the bariatric coordinator; and no program fees

Fundraising concert for local band set
A fundraising concert for the band Fenderella will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Gilbert’s Bar & Grill, 4950 Terry Road, Louisville. The event is being sponsored by Jimmy’s Music Center, New Albany, and will fund sending Fenderella to the NAMM show in California.
Tickets are $10 per person. There will be live music by Olivia Henken, Jimmy G. and the Sidewinders, Fenderella and more.
