The seminar will be from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, at Clark Memorial Hospital Conference Center, 1220 Missouri Ave., Jeffersonville.

Dr. Brent Walz, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, will lead the seminar focusing on the causes of knee and hip pain, how to get a good diagnosis and discuss conservative and surgical treatment options. Additional information will be available on the Fast Track Joint Replacement program at Clark Memorial Hospital.

Inside-outside sale is Saturday

Shopie’s Hope Thrift Shoppe, 3808 E. 10th St., Jeffersonville, will sponsor an inside-outside fabulous February sale, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 16, at the thrift shoppe.

Vendors welcome. All proceeds to benefit rescued animals. For more information call 812-786-9324.

 

Book signing will be at church

Sylvia Wright-Noble book signing, 1:30 p.m., Feb. 17, at First Trinity Baptist Church, 1506 Spring Street, Jeffersonville.

Wright-Noble, a resident of Clarksville, will be available to sign copies of her book, “Rhyme and Reason.”

 

NEW ALBANY

Central Christian holding auditions

Central Christian Church Performing Arts Ministry is holding auditions for “Carnival” at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, in the sanctuary for ages 16 and older.  The church is located at 1315 E Spring Ave. in New Albany.

The play will be directed by Tom Weatherston, retired theater director from New Albany High School. Performance dates are June 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. Phone number of the church is

40 & 8 dinner is Saturday

The 40 & 8 Club will sponsor an open house and fried chicken or roast beef  dinner, noon to 3 p.m., Feb. 17, at the clubhouse, 221 Albany St., New Albany.

The price for the ham or chicken or roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, slaw and dessert, is $7.
