> SOUTHERN INDIANA —
A winter weather advisory has been issued for Southern Indiana until 4 p.m. today.
The National Weather Service in Louisville issued the advisory for Floyd, Clark, Harrison, Crawford, Orange, Perry, Washington, Scott, Jefferson and Dubois counties in Indiana.
A strong upper level disturbance is moving through the Ohio Valley, according to the National Weather Service. A heavy band of snow has developed on the north side of the disturbance. This band will move through Southern Indiana and portions of north central Kentucky this morning and afternoon depositing some snow accumulations. Between 1-3 inches of accumulation is possible before the snow diminishes around 4 p.m. The snow is expected to move off to the northeast this afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory which could reduce visibility on the roadways and create hazardous road conditions.
