Tea Party seminar to focus on Bill of Rights

The Clark County Tea Party invites the public to a Bill of Rights and Constitution seminar presented by KrisAnne Hall, an attorney and former prosecutor. She presents the “genealogy” of the Constitution — the 700-year history and five foundational documents that are the very roots of American Liberty. 

The free seminar will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Clark County 4-H Center Community Building,  9608 Ind. 62, Charlestown.

The event is free and open to the public, with lunch provided and door prizes being awarded.

Cabin Fever Festival Saturday

Beat the mid-winter blues at the Falls of the Ohio State Park Cabin Fever Festival, 10 a.m.  to 4 p.m., Feb. 16, at the park, 201 W. Riverside Drive, Clarksville,

The event will include special guests and activities for the whole family. Some activities will be inside the interpretive center and others will be outside. Special guests include members of the Knob and Valley Audubon Society, who will speak about backyard birding, the Corydon Dulcimer Society, Bass Pro speaking on winter weather activities, the National Weather Service will have a tornado simulator and information on severe weather, and Irish band Feckless Fear Dearg will play throughout the day.

Activities include naturalist-led hikes, an outdoor scavenger hunt, instructions on backyard bird habitats and bird identification, making pet rocks and other craft activities that will help visitors get ready for spring.

All Cabin Fever Festival activities are free with paid admission to the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center. Admission to the interpretive center is $5 for ages 19 and older and $2 for ages 2-18.
