Two preservation leaders to discuss work Tuesday at New Albany event

NEW ALBANY — The Carnegie Center for Art and History,  201 E. Spring St., will host Greg Sekula, southern regional director of Indiana Landmarks, and Marianne Zickuhr, executive director of Preservation Louisville Inc., from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the Lunch and Learn Series.

They will speak about their work in historic preservation, as part of National Historic Preservation Month.

Zickuhr will give an overview of the work of Preservation Louisville and highlight the organization’s Save Our Shotguns program. She will also discuss the economics of historic preservation, and Preservation Louisville’s annual “Top Ten” lists: Louisville’s Top 10 Most Endangered Historic Places and Top 10 Preservation Successes. Sekula will talk about his organization’s efforts.

Participants can bring a lunch and drinks are provided. This program is free, but registration is required by call 812-944-7336 or email dthomas@carnegiecenter.or.  The monthly Lunch and Learn programs are sponsored by the Carnegie Center Inc.
