New restaurant at Horseshoe to open Wednesday

Spread Buffet has local, international fare

ELIZABETH — The grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting of The Spread Buffet, Horseshoe Southern Indiana’s new restaurant, has been rescheduled for 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, due to last week’s weather conditions. To celebrate, one lucky guest will win one year of free buffets for attending the grand opening celebration.

“We’re thrilled to bring The Spread Buffet to Horseshoe Southern Indiana,” said John Smith, general manager at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, in a press release. “Our guests crave variety. From dishes native to our local area to international cuisine, this buffet will satisfy palates of all types.”

The Spread Buffet serves up everything from local favorites to international fare. There is a variety of stations, including Italian, Heartland, Mexican and Asian, along with a farmer’s market and dessert island. A Taste of Kentuckiana station will offer specialty dishes to show off flavors and favorites specific to our region.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 11 a.m. and the buffet opens to the public at 11:30 a.m.
