Temporary lane restrictions expected on Interstate 265 in Floyd County

NEW ALBANY — The Indiana Department of Transportation is advising motorists there will be temporary overnight lane restrictions on Interstate 265 in Floyd County beginning Thursday night, March 21.

The Hoosier Company will be installing camera towers and constructing Dynamic Message Board (DMS) box trusses along I-265 in various areas. Lane restrictions are anticipated for two hours at each location, between the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Ramps will remain open near affected areas. This work is part of the TrafficWise Intelligent Transportation Systems project in Clark and Floyd counties. INDOT’s TrafficWise traveler information service is an ongoing effort to improve the efficiency and safety of interstates and state highways using Intelligent Transportation Systems.
