A warm Wednesday — with temperatures possibly reaching 70 — will give way to rain and a wintry mix late in the week.
Rain is likely to increase Thursday, some of it locally heavy, especially in Kentucky. The rain will then change to sleet/freezing rain and then snow north to south throughout the day on Friday.
Some ice/snow accumulations are possible, we will have to watch that for travel impacts especially Friday night.
Saturday looks quiet and cold. Sunday into Monday will feature another system moving in with freezing rain to start.
• Wednesday: Mostly cloudy and warm with a possible isolated shower. High: 67
• Wednesday night: Warm with showers increasing. Low: 57
• Thursday: Cooler with periods of rain, especially later in the day. High: 55
