WEATHER FORECAST: Summer-like temperatures set to return

LOUISVILLE — An active week of weather in Southern Indiana will end with a cool, damp Friday. However, forecast improvements are on the way starting this weekend. An area of low pressure moving across the region will keep clouds and a rain chance in our forecast as we end the week. There is a chance for a few of the stronger storms to produce some small hail. Northerly winds will keep temperatures in the 50s in most places which is rare in this part of the country. As high pressure returns over the weekend we’ll see more sunshine and temperatures will push back into the 60s. Fear not, summer-like highs back in the upper 80s to near 90 are in sight for the middle part of next week. In fact, we may be in for the warmest weather of the year so far. It wouldn’t be the Ohio Valley if we didn’t experience it all in one week ... right?
